Week 8: Eliminating Preservatives

We have continued to eliminate negative thinking, label read, recognize the importance of breathing, add positive affirmations into our daily lives, eliminate high fructose corn syrup (fructose as well) & dyes from our diet, sit in silence within nature for 30 minutes a day and last week we set goals in our lives. This week, we are going to add onto label reading by eliminating preservative from the diet.

 Most people think preservatives are simply to make food last longer and there are no health risks associated. That is not the case. Preservatives cause many issues in health such as cancer, bowel issues, allergies & asthma, heart disease, preterm delivery, hyperactivity & ADD, weight gain, other neurological issues and more.

Some examples of preservatives are phosphoric acid, monosodium glutamate (MSG), sodium nitrate, sodium benzoate, propyl gallate, aspartame, potassium nitrite, butylated hyrdoxytoulene, potassium nitrate, ammonium sulfate and titanium dioxide. There are countless other preservatives as well. Basically, if you can’t recognize it as food… it isn’t! Don’t eat it!

 By eliminating preservatives from our foods, we are starting to consume products made more from whole foods versus food like products. Pure food also digests better in the body. Doesn’t it make sense that food with preservatives will also be harder to digest because they are being preserved in the body?

 We are what we eat! If we eat food like products versus real food, then true health & wellness cannot and will never be attained. If we eat pure and focus on healthful amounts with a proper nutritional balance then we heal, regenerate cells at heightened levels and are less likely to encounter dis-ease. It is kind of a no brainer one thought of. For example, look at the picture below comparing watermelon to McDonald’s. What do you think is actual digested virus stored in the digestive tract?

So this week, we eliminate preservatives. I am very excited for you to be more accountable for what you allow to enter your body but I am most excited for you to start to feel the changes as time goes on and your body starts to heal better than ever before! Congratulations on all your changes thus far! Keep up the good work!
